In response to concerns about
construction traffic passing through
Eaglesham, as part of the EIA
process the effects of construction
and operational traffic are
assessed and mitigation developed
to reduce any significant effects.
Further information will be available
in the ES which will be submitted
with the planning application
As part of this development the
developers (Falck) will make
annual community benefit
payments to a Community Fund.
This fund can make payments to
community projects, often acting as
a seed fund to match finance
where this is needed to access
public funds. There will also be an
opportunity to invest in the
windfarm. Falck's practice is to
contract with Energy4All, who will
set up a co-operative, seeking
investment from local people.
15. Email 22.10.09 Homeowner No construction traffic should be allowed to
Eaglesham
use the B764 through the village
All operatives should be encouraged to use
the Moor Road from the M/A 77 at Kingswell
All monies should be paid to the Community
Council and tied up so that the local Council;
cannot “get their hands on it”
Beware of Barrack Room Lawyers trained in
Philadelphia!!
The Council should not be a party to the
Trust which should be solely responsible for
allocating the money
The local Community Council must have a
representative on the Trust and the legal
back ground on Trustee behaviour and
responsibility must be fully explained
I enclose details of a Guidance note that was
issued by Scottish Power about “ guidance in
good Project Management
Your people will probably know this already
but I hope the reminder may be of use and
not taken amiss
