Mat 2:8 e enviando-os a Belém, disse-lhes: I<strong>de</strong>, e perguntai diligentemente pelo<br />
menino; e, quando o achar<strong>de</strong>s, participai-mo, para que também eu vá e o adore.<br />
Mat 2:9 When they had heard the king, they <strong>de</strong>parted; and, lo, the star, which they<br />
saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child<br />
was.<br />
Mat 2:9 Tendo eles, pois, ouvido o rei, partiram; e eis que a estrela que tinham visto<br />
quando no oriente ia adiante <strong>de</strong>les, até que, chegando, se <strong>de</strong>teve sobre o lugar<br />
on<strong>de</strong> estava o menino.<br />
Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.<br />
Mat 2:10 Ao verem eles a estrela, regozijaram-se com gran<strong>de</strong> alegria.<br />
Mat 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with<br />
Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened<br />
their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.<br />
Mat 2:11 E entrando na casa, viram o menino com Maria sua mãe e, prostrando-se,<br />
o adoraram; e abrindo os seus tesouros, ofertaram-lhe dádivas: ouro incenso e<br />
mirra.<br />
Mat 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod,<br />
they <strong>de</strong>parted into their own country another way.<br />
Mat 2:12 Ora, sendo por divina revelação avisados em sonhos para não voltarem a<br />
Hero<strong>de</strong>s, regressaram à sua terra por outro caminho.<br />
Mat 2:13 And when they were <strong>de</strong>parted, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to<br />
Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee<br />
into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young<br />
child to <strong>de</strong>stroy him.<br />
Mat 2:13 E, havendo eles se retirado, eis que um anjo do Senhor apareceu a José<br />
em sonho, dizendo: Levanta-te, toma o menino e sua mãe, foge para o Egito, e ali<br />
fica até que eu te fale; porque Hero<strong>de</strong>s há <strong>de</strong> procurar o menino para o matar.<br />
Mat 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and<br />
<strong>de</strong>parted into Egypt:<br />
Mat 2:14 Levantou-se, pois, tomou <strong>de</strong> noite o menino e sua mãe, e partiu para o<br />
Egito.<br />
Mat 2:15 And was there until the <strong>de</strong>ath of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was<br />
spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.<br />
Mat 2:15 e lá ficou até a morte <strong>de</strong> Hero<strong>de</strong>s, para que se cumprisse o que fora dito<br />
da parte do Senhor pelo profeta: Do Egito chamei o meu Filho.<br />
Mat 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was<br />
exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem,<br />
and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and un<strong>de</strong>r, according to the time<br />
which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.<br />
Mat 2:16 Então Hero<strong>de</strong>s, vendo que fora iludido pelos magos, irou-se gran<strong>de</strong>mente<br />
e mandou matar todos os meninos <strong>de</strong> dois anos para baixo que havia em Belém, e<br />
em todos os seus arredores, segundo o tempo que com precisão inquirira dos<br />
magos.<br />
Mat 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,<br />
Mat 2:17 Cumpriu-se então o que fora dito pelo profeta Jeremias:<br />
Mat 2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great<br />
mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because<br />
they are not.<br />
