Aviation Meteorology – Flight, B.S. ______________<br />

This program prepares the student for a career as a pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
pilot with a strong meteorological and physical science background.<br />
Graduates will achieve at least commercial pilot, instrument, multiengine<br />
ratings. A student completing the program also meets the requirements<br />
<strong>of</strong> the U.S. Office <strong>of</strong> Personnel Management for employment<br />
by the federal government as a meteorologist. Students are afforded<br />
significant flexibility in career choices on graduation. On completion<br />
<strong>of</strong> the first two years <strong>of</strong> the curriculum plus HUM 2051, a 3-credit<br />
humanities core course and a social science elective with a cumulative<br />
GPA <strong>of</strong> 2.0 or higher, the student may petition for the award <strong>of</strong><br />
the Associate <strong>of</strong> Science in Aviation Meteorology–Flight.<br />
