the right of way at bus stops and mitigate congestion impacts <strong>for</strong> mixed traffic.<br />

In summary, while four lanes are needed <strong>for</strong> general traffic to avoid an adverse<br />

congestion impact, there is no need to provide overtaking lane at bus stops in this<br />

section.<br />

VI.4.c. Segment Toll Road (Cempaka Mas) - Galur Flyover (2.5 km)<br />

This section is 2.5 km long, with no intersections, and 5 bus stops <strong>for</strong> the busway are<br />

being planned.<br />

VI.4.c.i. Typical existing cross section<br />

Here the cross sections is wide (about 64 meters), and about 35 meters is <strong>for</strong> traffic with 5<br />

lanes per direction. Traffic volume analysis shows that 11.0 meters is enough <strong>for</strong> general<br />

traffic needs, so it is possible to use the existing paved section to implement the <strong>BRT</strong>.<br />

VI.4.c.ii. DisHub and <strong>ITDP</strong> Proposed Typical Cross Section <strong>for</strong> <strong>TransJakarta</strong><br />

The existing project proposal is to cut the central island and separators to maintain the<br />

present 5 lanes <strong>for</strong> general traffic.<br />
