toward Objectives 8 ‘To promote the development <strong>of</strong> local democracy and<br />
accountability’ and Objective 9 ‘To provide leadership and vision to the local<br />
community’. Indirectly, ensuring the involvement <strong>of</strong> the community in planning<br />
matters will allow partnership working toward all corporate objectives.<br />
2.2 The production and adoption <strong>of</strong> the <strong>SCI</strong> fits exactly with the Council’s Core Value <strong>of</strong><br />
‘Participation’ which seeks to involve the whole community in decision making.<br />
