Appendix 1 – The New Planning System<br />
(Local Development Framework)<br />
The current Borough Local Plan will eventually be superseded by a Local Development<br />
Framework (LDF). The LDF will comprise a series <strong>of</strong> Local Development Documents<br />
(LDDs).<br />
These LDD’s will include Statutory Development Plan Documents (DPDs) and Non-<br />
Statutory Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) which expand on DPD policies.<br />
The LDF will also include a Local Development Scheme (LDS) which is a project<br />
plan/timetable, a <strong>Statement</strong> <strong>of</strong> Community Involvement (<strong>SCI</strong>) and an Annual<br />
Monitoring Report (AMR). The diagram below shows the relationship between these<br />
documents.<br />
