6) For acknowledgement of comments a postcard would say as much as a letter and
would save resources.
7) Reports to committees should be available to take away, not just view in offices.
1) Use of 'Planning for Real' or similar types of approach should be included as a
Yorkshire Council
SCI-18 Filey Town Council 1) Parish/Town Councillor should be able to speak for or against any application, in
addition to a member of the general public.
2) A representative of the Parish/Town Councillors should sit on the Planning Sub-
Committees similar to the County’s Area Committees.
will allow details of all planning applications to
be viewed.
2) See response to SCI-12 (1)
3) Consultation list has in excess of 600
consultees from varying backgrounds and
includes the LSP, minority groups and the
however, resources prevent attending all meetings
of the parishes) have been invited to attend a
presentation to represent the communities in those
areas.
5) Will be considered, however, there are
resource and staffing implications.
6) Agree that postcards would be sufficient but
would have to look at setting up costs, printing,
etc
7) Reports are available to take away, though in
some case there may be a small charge in line
with the publication list.
1) The current scheme of public speaking allows
one member for and one against each proposal.
The Parish Council can register to speak in line
with this protocol, however, the current scheme
does not allow the PC to speak in addition to one
supported and one objector. All relevant PC
