1) A position of responsibility should be created in DC to look after affordable
housing, especially in rural areas.
2) Closer working between FP, DC and Housing Strategy Team on housing issues.
3) Rural communities/Parish Councils should have more involvement with housing
issues via the planning system.
4) Parish Councils should be given feedback on planning decisions relating to
housing – reasons given for decisions made.
5) Produce leaflets/information for the public explaining the planning system with
regard to affordable housing.
