4.4.2 <strong>Consultation</strong> methods currently include:<br />

• Sample Surveys – e.g. the Citizens’ Panel.<br />

• Press and Media Releases.<br />

• Public Meetings and attendance at Parish Meetings.<br />

• Public Speaking at Planning Committees.<br />

• Council Web-site.<br />

• Use <strong>of</strong> the Internet - The Council are embracing e-Government and bringing in a<br />

raft <strong>of</strong> new measures to ensure the public are kept up to date and can comment<br />

whenever possible.<br />

• Public Exhibitions.<br />

• Local Partnerships especially the Local Strategic Partnership.<br />

• Stakeholder meetings; e.g. Architects and Agents Forum.<br />

• Through the Urban Renaissance programme (regular meetings).<br />

• Letters to stakeholders, Statutory consultees, etc<br />

4.4.3 In addition to the previously listed methods, the Council will continue to aim to reach<br />

out to and involve specific and hard to reach groups.<br />

4.5 How Will I Be Able to Comment?<br />

4.5.1 The Borough Council will make it as easy as possible for you to make your comments<br />

on published documents. You can respond in the following ways:<br />

• Returning Paper Forms attached to published documents by post or at designated<br />

collection points; e.g. <strong>Scarborough</strong> Town Hall, Filey Evron Centre.<br />

• Completing online forms electronically.<br />

• By E-Mail direct to Forward Planning.<br />

• Returning Forms or Letters by Fax.<br />

• By bespoke letter.<br />

• By telephoning your comments.<br />
