Objectives The participant can:
> Describe the differences between the gaseous fuel engines
> Name the physical properties of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied
petroleum gas (LPG)
> Describe the location, design and functions of the natural gas system components
> Shut down the gas system for repairs and put it back into service
> Perform the leak test on the natural gas system and interpret the results
> Describe the differences between natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas systems
> Perform basic diagnoses and testing/adjustment operations on natural gas systems
and implement the appropriate remedial actions
Contents > Arrangement, design and function of the various natural gas system components
> Differentiation between compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas
(LPG)
> Diagnosis of natural gas systems, including testing operations, shutting down and
putting back into service
> Leak testing
> Workshop processes for handling gaseous fuel vehicles
