Objectives The participant can:<br />

> Describe the drive authorization systems 3 and 4<br />

> Describe the current drive authorization systems (from DAS 2) and locking systems<br />

> Perform targeted diagnoses<br />

> Replace various system components and safety-related components (e.g. theftrelevant-part<br />

control units) in line with theft-relevant-part guidelines<br />

> Diagnose DAS system components and replace them if necessary<br />

Contents Design and system function of the DAS 3 and DAS 4 and differences between the<br />

systems with respect to<br />

> Drive authorization<br />

> Central locking<br />

> Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)<br />

> New products/features introduced with passenger car facelifts<br />

Optional prerequisite Participants can test and refresh their knowledge using the CBT programs "Underlying<br />

Principles of Motor Vehicle Electrics/Electronics" (order no. 1290 4757) and "Access<br />

and Drive Authorization Systems" (1290 4014).<br />

Note Completion of this course does not authorize participants to program FBS 4 keys.<br />

The prerequisite to apply for FBS 4 key programming authorization is the course "T0454F<br />

• New Drive Authorization System FBS 4 • Key <strong>Program</strong>ming • Run".<br />

Participants can test and refresh their knowledge using the CBT programs "Underlying<br />

Principles of Motor Vehicle Electrics/Electronics" (order no. 1290 4757) and "Access<br />

and Drive Authorization Systems" (1290 4014).<br />
