Objectives The participant can:<br />

> Name the basic electrical variables and their relationship to one another (Ohm's law)<br />

> Independently conduct measurements on the vehicle with the aid of the workshop<br />

literature and a multimeter<br />

> Apply the latest service literature in a targeted manner for maintenance, diagnosis and<br />

repair<br />

> Carry out test, adjustment and repair work using digital multimeters, Star Diagnosis,<br />

including the HMS Measurement Technology, oscilloscopes and the Diagnosis Assistance<br />

System (DAS) on electrical systems in the Canter and on components, sensors and<br />

actuators<br />

> Independently implement the regular updates according to requirements<br />

> Independently plan targeted diagnostic steps for the FUSO Canter<br />

> Initiate/carry out appropriate remedial measures<br />

> Circuit types and their properties<br />

> Testing electrical components<br />

> Control and regulation<br />

> Oscilloscope<br />

> ECU parameterization<br />

> Proper testing of networking<br />

> User interface and fundamentals of the Star Diagnosis software programs<br />

> Update process and procedures, installation options<br />

> Efficient use of Star Diagnosis and the DAS and HMS 990 programs<br />

> Strategies for diagnosing electrical and electronic systems<br />

> Practical work on guided diagnosis based on the diagnosis model<br />

Optional prerequisite The participant has basic knowledge of electrical systems.<br />
