Objectives The participant can
> Implement possible solutions to current application problems
> Implement the basic procedure during diagnosis/troubleshooting and SCN coding
> Use the individual Star Diagnosis programs DAS and HMS 990 Measurement
Technology to perform targeted diagnoses/troubleshooting
> Use and operate the HMS 990 Measurement Technology (particularly the universal
oscilloscope) efficiently and reliably when testing electrical components, sensors, and
actuators
Contents > Exchange of experience and comparison of knowledge participants have gained in the
practical use of Star Diagnosis, including all individual components
> Making effective use of the networked Star Diagnosis with DAS, HMS 990 and SD
Media programs for targeted diagnosis in the current commercial vehicle model series
> Operating and applying HMS 990 Measurement Technology to perform measurements
on the components, sensors and actuators in electrical systems, focusing on the use of
the universal oscilloscope
> Basic approach to troubleshooting/diagnosis
Optional prerequisite The participant has completed basic training course "T0179F • Trucks, Vans • Star
Diagnosis • Level I • Go" and "T0222F • Trucks, Vans • Electrical System • Level I •
Go" or has equivalent knowledge of commercial vehicle electrical systems.
