Objectives The participant can:<br />

> Assess the hazards associated with MIG welding and take precautionary personal<br />

safety measures<br />

> Name the differences between MIG/MAG welding and the advantages of the pulsed<br />

arc technique<br />

> Set welding equipment to suit the base material, the type of seam and the welding<br />

position<br />

> Join aluminum panels using the different types of seams and in different welding<br />

positions<br />

> Prepare the required learning outcome checks as per DIN EN ISO 9606-2 and assess<br />

his/her level of manual skills in welding aluminum<br />

Contents > Work safety and accident prevention<br />

> MIG/MAG welding, pulsed arc<br />

> Adjustment of welding parameters/effects on the weld<br />

> Pulsed arc<br />

> MIG welding of fillet welds and square butt joint welds in the different welding<br />

positions<br />

> Close training with learning outcome checks to assess the participants' manual skills<br />

and to identify what still needs to be done to prepare for the training course "T0463F •<br />

Passenger Cars • Aluminum Welding 2 • Fly"<br />

The training course ends with a learning outcome check to assess the practical skills<br />

<strong>Training</strong> Depth Run Method Theorie 15%, Practice85%<br />

Note The operation must have a dedicated aluminum workstation according to Mercedes-Benz<br />

specifications!<br />

The participant must bring his or her own complete protective clothing (welding mask,<br />

safety shoes, jacket or overalls), as it will be worn during the practical segment of the<br />

course.<br />

To successfully conclude this training course, the participant must have successfully<br />

completed vocational training as a body specialist and have at least 3 years of<br />

professional experience in accident repairs on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.<br />

The price includes all test fees, and the training course and test material.<br />
