> Describe the design, function and repair of the current restraint systems<br />

> Diagnose and test SRS components<br />

> Perform diagnosis and repair work on the airbag, PRE-SAFE®, and emergency belt<br />

tensioning retractor systems<br />

> Independently perform preventive measures on safety-relevant components on an<br />

accident-damaged vehicle<br />

Contents > Design, deployment and effect of all airbag systems<br />

> Handling of SRS components and PRE-SAFE® systems in the W212 and W221<br />

> Emergency tensioning retractors and NECK-PRO systems<br />

> Seat occupied and automatic child seat recognition<br />

> Passive safety components<br />

> Legal framework (Explosives Act and the Explosives Act Ordinance)<br />

> Responsibilities within the operation<br />

> Storage of pyrotechnical material<br />

> Reporting procedure and offenses<br />

<strong>Training</strong> Depth Run Method Theorie 50%, Practice50%<br />

Note Participants can test and refresh their knowledge using the CBT programs "Safety and<br />

Restraint Systems" Parts 1 and 2 (order no. 1290 4034 and 1290 4039). This training<br />

serves to certify competence in handling airbags, PRE-SAFE® systems and emergency<br />

tensioning retractors for the trade supervisory authorities.<br />
