Objectives The participant can:<br />

> Name the design of the body structure used for model series 197<br />

> Name the latest machining methods for "super high-strength" steels, cast parts and<br />

aluminum<br />

> Effectively deploy the latest straightening tool sets and special tools<br />

> Name the basic types of body repairs<br />

> Name the most important equipment features and special features<br />

> Carry out basic removal and installation operations in the interior<br />

> Name the installation locations and the interrelations between the components.<br />

Contents > Use of special tools on the SLS model series 197<br />

> Practically-oriented exercises on various sectional repairs<br />

> Special considerations for machining, e.g., aluminum sheets<br />

> New requirements resulting from use of high-strength steels, cast parts and aluminum<br />

> Practically-oriented exercises on various removal and installation operations in the<br />

interior and exterior<br />

This training/test has to be booked, before you are authorized to book the main training.<br />

Note The participant should have basic experience in bodywork repairs on previous model<br />

series in accordance with Mercedes-Benz guidelines. Basic knowledge of MIG soldering,<br />

MAG, resistance and aluminum welding and straightening bench setup. Completion of<br />

CBT "Fundamentals of body straightening technology" Parts 1-3 (order no. 1290 4720/<br />

12904010/ 12904011) is advantageous.<br />
