Objectives The participant can:<br />

> Reliably handle the current electrical test equipment approved by Mercedes-Benz<br />

> Describe the design and function of the various sensors and actuators and name and<br />

apply the corresponding measuring and testing options<br />

> Reliably recognize and eliminate resistance and discontinuities in electrical lines and<br />

connections<br />

> Perform accurate troubleshooting in electrical and electronic components<br />

> Name the different types of networking and perform troubleshooting<br />

Contents > Analog and digital sensors and actuators and their areas of application<br />

> Design and function of electrical and electronic circuits and their use in motor vehicles<br />

> Basic functions and types of data transfer<br />

> Basic function and structure of CAN networks<br />

> Practical work<br />

Optional prerequisite > The participant has successfully completed the CBTs "Fundamentals of Sensors"<br />

(order no. 1290 4738) and "Sensors in Practice" (1290 4739).<br />

> Previous participation in the basic training course "T0178F • Passenger Cars • Star<br />

Diagnosis • Level II • Run" and participation in the training course "T0220F • Passenger<br />

Cars • Electrical Systems • Level II • Go" is recommended.<br />

> Corresponding solid technical knowledge.<br />

Note This course is the third level of the Mercedes-Benz passenger car electrical system<br />

training, consisting of three 2-day face-to-face training courses (see the training for<br />

maintenance technicians) and several CBTs.<br />
