& BARRICADE a
Pictured above ore three of the attraction board styles offered drive-in owners by Poblocki &
Sons. A choice of various "packages" may be obtained to fit each specific case.
With practically all the major suppliers
offering various types of "package" plans
for drive-in theatre construction, Poblocki
Si Sons Co. joins the parade with a plan to
supply the outdoor exhibitor with his choice
of some twenty styles of name and attraction
board marquees for the drive-in.
The signs themselves will be manufactured
by Poblocki in Milwaukee. At the
exhibitor's option he will receive complete
blueprints for concrete or metal bases to be
made by local labor, or he may buy the
completed sign erected by Poblocki crews.
The signs are either single or doublefaced
or of V construction and are made
of galvanized sheet metal, aluminum or
porcelain.
For the low-budget installation a new
sign has been designed which avoids the
use of opal glass or Plexiglas, substituting
a new type of reflector. This removes much
of the danger from vandalism in locations
which are not policed by day and also cuts
down on maintenance expense.
