Freehand<br />
“Freehand” allows the user to record the movement<br />
of the <strong>HQ</strong> <strong>Pro</strong>-<strong>Stitcher</strong> and save the sequence of<br />
movements as a pattern file (Figure 60 & 61).<br />
Clear<br />
Press the “Clear” button to clear the pattern window<br />
before starting to record.<br />

Handlebar Control<br />
For <strong>HQ</strong> Sixteen users, press the “Handlebar Control”<br />
button to pass control to the <strong>HQ</strong> Sixteen handles to<br />
allow the user to control stitching while recording<br />
the freehand motion. <strong>HQ</strong> 18 Avanté and <strong>HQ</strong> 24 Fusion<br />
users have handlebar control all the time, even while<br />
the <strong>HQ</strong> <strong>Pro</strong>-<strong>Stitcher</strong> is in control, so this step is not<br />
necessary for those users.<br />

Start Record<br />
Make sure the “Motors Enabled/Disabled” button in<br />
the top right-hand corner of the screen is in the “Motors<br />
Disabled” state. Press the “Start Record” button<br />
to begin recording the movements of the quilting<br />
machine.<br />
