• 100cm x 61 x 72cm machine that makes 1/8” to 3/8” diameter abaca twisted<br />

yarn from different kinds of hard fiber materials<br />

• Yarn can be used in the production of twine or rope that can be directly<br />

woven to produce rugs, copra, sacks, and other decorative item<br />

• Yarning Capacity: 300 to 400m/hr using abaca fiber & 200 to 300m/hr using<br />

“bacbac” material<br />

• Machine Cost: P30, 000 per unit including motor.<br />

130 Decorticating machines are used to extract fibers from abaca and piña<br />

leaves by means of crushing and scraping processes. The extracted<br />

fibers are sun-dried and further processed <strong>into</strong> fabric/textile products or<br />

handicraft and decorative items. The machine consists of the following<br />

parts: frame and chassis, underchassis and tires, paddle wheels, feeding<br />

gate and an adjustable anvil.<br />
