Waste Recycling & Reduction
Ever since the first residents moved
into Ocean Shores, management has
been striving to encourage households
to separate wastes for recycling.
However, the traditional recycling
bins were so bulky that they could
be placed only in open spaces on the
podium. The solution was to equip
tailor made recycling bins that fit
neatly at the cargo lift lobbies, thus
allowing successful waste separation
on each residential tower floor. This
new, convenient facility brought about
a significant increase in paper recovery
and a substantial reduction in the amount of domestic wastes from 2005
to 2007. Observing this success, many other management companies
followed by implementing the same concept in their buildings.

Green Education
To promote green awareness among
residents, part of the hillside has been
adopted as a piece of “Greenland” where
residents can cultivate a variety of
vegetables and plants. One of the special
features of this Greenland is the use of
fallen leaves and branches to create organic
compost fertilizer. Our Greenland not only
provides a charming leisure space where parents and children can enjoy
meaningful activities together but also brings green messages and
knowledge to the younger generations.
Future Plans
To keep up with the pace of advancing green
technology, Ocean Shores will continuously
implement new green measures, including:
1. Installation of heat reflective films on
the Club House skylights to reduce airconditioner
loading otherwise needed
to lower the indoor temperature raised
by direct sunlight
2.
A program using solar lawn lamps is
already in trial
3. An irrigation system using wind and
solar power generators is being studied
and we expect it to be launched at
Ocean Shores in the middle term.
Given the existing facilities and future plans
presented here, Ocean Shores stands out
as a residential estate that is successfully
pioneering the promotion and adoption of green management
concepts to provide a green living environment for its residents.

屋 苑 將 室 內 恒 溫 泳 池 的 煤 氣 熱 水 泵 更 換 為 高 效 能 之 電 熱 水 泵 , 每 年 節
省 達 78% 支 出 及 減 少 二 氧 化 碳 排 放 量 達 41.2%。
大 堂 設 計 採 用 玻 璃 幕 牆 以 善 用 天 然 光 , 節 省 日 間 照 明 系 統 的 用 電 量 。
在 深 夜 時 段 暫 停 一 半 升 降 機 數 目 , 將 樓 層 及 停 車 場 的 照 明 重 新 安 排 和
改 用 較 低 功 率 而 高 照 明 度 的 光 管 , 節 省 停 車 場 50% 的 用 電 量 。
選 用 比 傳 統 升 降 機 系 統 節 省 30% 耗 電 量 之 智 能 升 降 機 系 統 。

因 應 依 山 而 建 的 天 然 環 境 將 雨 水 由 山 邊 引 入 儲 水 缸 作 灌 溉 用 途 , 每 年
節 省 用 水 大 約 156,000 公 升 。
在 每 年 泳 池 休 池 維 修 期 間 , 將 泵 走 的 池 水 用 作 清 洗 停 車 場 及 補 充 各 座
噴 水 飾 池 池 水 , 每 年 分 別 節 省 用 水 85,000 公 升 及 315,000 公 升 。
廢 物 回 收 及 減 少 廢 物
由 維 景 灣 畔 入 伙 起 , 服 務 處 已 致 力 提 高 住 戶 在 廢 物 分 類 方 面 的 參 與 率 , 由
於 傳 統 的 廢 物 分 類 桶 體 積 較 大 , 只 適 宜 擺 放 於 平 台 位 置 , 故 特 別 訂 造 了 適
合 樓 層 載 貨 升 降 機 大 堂 狹 小 空 間 使 用 的 組 合 式 分 類 桶 , 成 為 其 中 一 個 率 先
在 每 層 樓 擺 放 廢 物 分 類 桶 的 屋 苑 。 因 而 令 廢 紙 回 收 數 量 大 幅 上 升 , 相 反 家
居 廢 物 數 量 則 大 幅 減 少 。 及 後 不 少 屋 苑 亦 相 繼 參 考 此 成 功 經 驗 。

綠 色 教 育
屋 苑 將 荒 地 開 墾 為 綠 田 園 , 讓 住 戶 參 與 種 植 蔬 菜 及 植 物 等 。 綠 田 園 的 其 中
一 個 特 色 是 採 用 由 枯 枝 樹 葉 發 酵 而 成 之 天 然 肥 料 。 除 了 向 住 戶 灌 輸 環 保 及
綠 色 理 念 , 亦 為 住 戶 提 供 一 個 親 子 活 動 之 平 台 。
未 來 計 劃
維 景 灣 畔 將 來 在 環 保 工 作 會 不 斷 創 新 及 緊 貼 日 新 月 異 的 環 保 科 技 , 包 括 :

研 究 引 入 太 陽 能 及 風 力 發 電 之 灌 溉 系 統 。
廢 物 回 收 量
在 種 種 現 有 及 新 增 之 環 保 設 施 下 , 維 景 灣 畔 為 住 戶 提 供 綠 色 的 生 活 環 境 ,
同 時 成 為 推 動 環 保 的 典 範 之 一 。
