22.010.1. Purpose of the District Conference<br />

The common purpose for the district conference is to bring together all Rotarians in the<br />

district to<br />

a) Recognize the service programs and projects of the district<br />

b) Inspire Rotarians to greater involvement in service<br />

c) Share a vision of Rotary beyond the club level<br />

d) Enjoy a memorable fellowship experience<br />

e) Provide opportunities to interact with Rotary leaders (June 2010 Mtg., Bd. Dec. 249)<br />

22.010.2. Guiding Principles for Planning District Conference<br />

The District Conference Committee shall provide<br />

a) Relevance to Rotarians and clubs by using tools such as a member needs assessment<br />

survey and previous conference evaluations<br />

b) Attractive and convenient venues<br />

c) Affordable rates for registration, hotel rooms, and other conference events (June 2010<br />

22.010.3. Success Indicators for Evaluating the Effectiveness of District Conferences<br />

The district governor and Conference Committee shall provide to the general secretary an<br />

evaluation of the effectiveness of its conferences by establishing the following statistics:<br />

1. Rotarian attendance percentage at all conference events<br />

2. Degree of participant engagement in fellowship, networking, dialogue, and staffing<br />

support provided to the conference<br />

3. Participant satisfaction with fellowship, networking, program quality, inspiration,<br />

discussion, participation opportunities, and overall experience<br />

In addition, the president’s representative evaluation of program quality and participant<br />
