5.040.8. RI Membership Slogan
The Board has adopted the membership slogan “Each Rotarian: Reach One, Keep One.”

5.040.9. Recognition Pin for New Member Sponsors
The RI Board has approved a recognition pin for Rotarians who sponsor new members,
with RI covering the cost of the pins and postage to the clubs. Clubs will be responsible
for maintaining the records for new member sponsors. The general secretary has
established a system for ordering the pins through the RI distribution center. (October

5.050.2. Pre-Induction Information
Clubs should ensure that proper pre-induction information be provided to prospective
members which clearly explains the history of Rotary and the privileges and
responsibilities of a Rotarian. The club classification, membership, membership
development and Rotary information committees should meet cooperatively to focus on
membership development and especially to see that the club has an effective preinduction
orientation program as well as a post-induction follow-up. (November 2004
