68.010. Approval of Disbursements<br />

All disbursements generated by volunteers, including the office of president, shall be subject to<br />

post-disbursement approval by the Treasurer, or his/her designate. The Treasurer shall report to<br />

the Board on all substantive expenditures that have not been made in accordance with the<br />

approved budget or in compliance with the policies adopted from time to time by the Board.<br />

68.020. Travel<br />

68.020.1. RI Travel Expenses<br />

RI is committed to Rotarians worldwide to use their per capita dues and contributions<br />

wisely by ensuring that those traveling at the expense of RI and its Foundation do so at<br />

the least expensive available cost, consistent with good service and RI's travel policy. All<br />

individuals traveling at RI expense are encouraged to conserve the funds of the<br />

68.020.2. Official RI Expense Statement<br />

All Rotarians and staff must use the official RI Expense Statement for travel expense<br />

reimbursements. (June 1998 Mtg., Bd. Dec. 348)<br />

68.020.3. Duties and Obligations<br />

Any person whose attendance at a meeting, event or other activity is fully or partially<br />

funded by RI, including Rotarians, their spouses and others, shall fulfill their duties and<br />

obligations for the meeting, event or activity as set forth in the RI constitutional<br />

documents, the Rotary Code of Policies or official program for the meeting, event or<br />

activity. Funded travelers who fail to fulfill their duties and responsibilities shall not be<br />

reimbursed by RI for any expenses associated with the travel and shall return to RI all<br />

amounts paid to them or on their behalf by RI in connection with the travel. The general<br />

secretary shall report any failure to comply with the requirements of this policy to the RI<br />
