30.040.9. Notification to Directors of Appointments<br />

Each director shall be provided with a list of Rotarians appointed to any committee or<br />

30.040.10. Appointments of Governor with Outstanding Financial Reports<br />

Upon receiving notice that a governor has failed to submit the annual statement and<br />

report required by RI bylaws 15.060.4., the general secretary shall notify the governor<br />

that unless the statement and report are received by the general secretary within 90 days,<br />

the governor shall be ineligible for future RI and TRF appointments and assignments<br />

until the statement and report are submitted. The general secretary shall notify the RI<br />

president and chairman of the Trustees of those governors who are not in compliance<br />

30.050. Liaison Directors to Committees<br />

The president’s appointment of a Board member to serve as liaison director to a particular RI<br />

committee provides a necessary channel of communication between the Board and the<br />

committees. Thus, when the president deems it advisable, the liaison director should attend the<br />

appropriate committee meetings. (June 1998 Mtg., Bd. Dec. 348)<br />

30.050.1. Involvement in Meetings<br />

There shall be only one liaison director assigned to a particular committee. When<br />

authorized by the president, the liaison director shall attend the meeting of the committee<br />

strictly in the capacity of a liaison and generally, as an observer. While the director may<br />

respond to requests for information, the director shall not debate any matter before the<br />

committee or participate in forming of decisions. The liaison director shall ensure that<br />

the deliberations and recommendations of the committee fully comply with the<br />

committee’s terms of reference.<br />

No meetings to which a liaison director is assigned shall be held when a Board meeting is<br />

being held. Dates of such committee meetings shall not be changed without the approval<br />

of the president and in consultation with the liaison director. (June 1998 Mtg., Bd. Dec.<br />
