37.010.1. Relationship Between RI and RIBI<br />

RI fully recognizes and respects the integrity of the resolution of the 1927 Convention<br />

that authorizes RIBI to operate as the sole territorial unit form of administration within<br />

RI, and will continue to do so unless requested by the General Council of RIBI or a<br />

majority of the member clubs of Great Britain and Ireland to dissolve or modify the<br />

territorial unit of RIBI.<br />

37.010.2. Description of RIBI in the Official Directory<br />

The Official Directory of RI shall contain an explanatory note to give a clear and<br />

adequate description of the unique territorial unit of RIBI and its status as a distinctive<br />

and historical administrative structure of Rotary International.<br />

37.010.3. RIBI Officers’ Attendance at International Assembly and Convention<br />

Officers and officers-nominee of RIBI are authorized to attend the International<br />

37.020. Limitations on Administrative Units<br />

It is not in the best interest of RI to consider any future or additional form of administrative<br />

structure or specific geographic areas of the world that would be parallel to or similar to the RIBI<br />

37.030. Intercountry Committees Guidelines<br />

Intercountry committees promote contact between districts and clubs in two or more countries<br />

and increase fellowship and intercultural understanding among the people of various nations.<br />

Rotarians are encouraged to create new intercountry committees to foster stronger ties between<br />

Rotarians, clubs, and districts from different countries and establish networks across borders,<br />

continents, and oceans. Intercountry committees should be promoted at RI, district and club<br />
