D. Outcomes<br />

Assemblies may provide the club's board, specific committees, or the club as a whole with<br />

information that may be used for official decisions taken by the board or club on related matters.<br />

Assemblies provide opportunities for education and may stimulate the member’s interest in new<br />

7.060. Club Adherence to Attendance Rules<br />

Club leaders should emphasize to club members and prospective members:<br />

1. the value and significance of regular attendance;<br />

2. the 50 percent attendance requirement in Standard Rotary Club Constitution Article 12,<br />

Section 4;<br />

3. the importance to the club and the community of active participation by each member in all<br />

club activities without placing undue emphasis on 100 percent attendance. (June 2007 Mtg., Bd.<br />

7.060.1. Attendance Credit<br />

The Board interprets Article 9, Section 1(a)(3) of the Standard Rotary Club Constitution<br />

to allow credit for one make-up for each day a member attends a RI meeting, such as a<br />

district conference, provided the days claimed for attendance credit fall in periods during<br />

which a make-up would otherwise be acceptable. (February 2003 Mtg., Bd. Dec. 194)<br />

7.060.2. Recording and Reporting Club Attendance<br />

Club secretaries shall send their monthly membership/attendance reports to their<br />

respective governors within 15 days of the last meeting of the club each month, without<br />

7.070. Requests for Leave of Absence<br />

Clubs should inform members of the provisions in the club bylaws which permit a member to<br />

apply to the club board for a temporary leave of absence when faced with a problem of<br />
