34.020.2. Criteria for Granting a RI License<br />

The criteria which RI considers when granting/denying a RI license include, but are not<br />

limited to the following:<br />

1. specifically approved merchandise (samples)<br />

2. RI specific catalog<br />

3. ready stock in a warehouse<br />

4. fax and/or regular order number<br />

5. customer service component<br />

6. credit to clubs and governors<br />

7. acceptance of credit cards<br />

8. quality control by RI<br />

9. merchandise guarantee by the licensee to the buyer<br />

10. willingness to display and sell merchandise at RI meetings<br />

11. financial stability<br />

12. experience in the business<br />

13. import/export capability<br />

14. willingness to network with other licensees<br />

The meeting of any or all of these standards does not guarantee a license from RI. RI<br />

maintains, in its sole discretion, the right to grant or deny any license application. (June<br />

34.020.3. Selection of Licensees Under RI's Licensing System<br />

In granting licenses, RI will give preference to those entities which can support the<br />

overall goals of modernizing RI's licensing system. RI will use appropriate marketing<br />

techniques to encourage companies which can comply with RI licensing requirements to<br />

34.030.1. Assurance of Supplies to Rotarians<br />

The general secretary should maintain appropriate sources of merchandise for clubs,<br />
