57.100.3. Convention Press Bureau<br />

The Convention provides a significant opportunity to publicize Rotary and provide<br />

Rotarians attending the meeting with valuable encouragement and guidance for their club<br />

and district public relations activities. The general secretary, depending on the<br />

circumstances in each country hosting the convention, shall assign sufficient staff for<br />

57.110.1. Convention Budget<br />

The convention budget shall be prepared on realistic cost and revenue figures based on<br />

anticipated attendance. The general secretary shall consider the suggestions of both the<br />

RI Finance Committee and the International Convention Committee (including the HOC<br />

in such deliberations), but for budgeting purposes, the final determination of the<br />

estimated convention attendance shall be made by the general secretary with approval of<br />

The general secretary shall report promptly to the Board any and all known or expected<br />

57.110.3. Convention to Be Self-Supporting<br />

The Convention budget shall be balanced. Therefore the costs associated with the<br />

holding of the annual Rotary International Convention shall be covered by the revenue<br />

collected from registration fees, booth rental, ticket sales, and other acceptable means of<br />

57.110.4. Convention Attendance Expenses Paid by RI<br />

a) The convention budget shall cover the expenses of the following persons attending<br />

the convention of Rotary International and as such be designated official participants:<br />
