58.040.6. Appointment of Assembly Moderator<br />

The International Assembly moderator in any year shall be appointed by the presidentnominee<br />

58.040.7. Selection Criteria of Assembly Leadership Roles<br />

Several leadership roles are selected annually by the president-elect. The qualifications are<br />

detailed in the Manual for the International Assembly for the following:<br />

International Assembly Moderator<br />

International Assembly Assistant Moderator<br />

Chief Sergeant-at-Arms<br />

Sergeant-at-arms and Spouses<br />

First Aid Officer<br />

Training Leaders, in consultation with the president and moderator<br />

Seminar Trainers, in consultation with the moderator<br />

58.040.8. Spouse Discussion Session Leaders<br />

Prior to conducting spouse discussion sessions, spouses who will lead such sessions<br />

58.040.9. Role of the General Secretary<br />

In fulfilling responsibilities for the International Assembly, the general secretary is<br />

responsible for all logistical, programmatic and administrative duties related to the<br />

International Assembly, Leaders’ Seminar and approved adjunct meetings.<br />

Responsibilities are detailed in the Manual for the International Assembly. (January<br />

58.040.10. Children at Assembly<br />

The attendance of children at the International Assembly is strongly discouraged. Under<br />

special circumstances, when the presence of children could be justified, a request for<br />

permission may be made in writing, well in advance of the International Assembly, to the<br />

president-elect. Such permission may be granted at the sole discretion of the presidentelect.<br />
