Some n<strong>at</strong>ivity scenes are more elabor<strong>at</strong>e than others, for example, the one made<br />

by Dulce Estrella Caballero López. This n<strong>at</strong>ivity includes an electric train th<strong>at</strong> goes<br />

around the whole n<strong>at</strong>ivity scene, a real bird’s nest, grain-fields with real dirt, Canaries<br />

th<strong>at</strong> make the environment happy with their trills, and an infinity of details th<strong>at</strong> make it<br />

very special. Dulce spends many days putting and removing the n<strong>at</strong>ivity scene. The<br />

electric install<strong>at</strong>ion is done by her son, Arcadio, who includes so many details, such as a<br />

small bulb in each house so th<strong>at</strong> it makes it illumin<strong>at</strong>e. The moss, the sound and the dirt<br />

are brought by Arcadio f<strong>at</strong>her from the pine grove and the surrounding areas. This is all a<br />

family work of art th<strong>at</strong> marks the beginning and the end of Christmas time for this family.<br />

Maybe the most beautiful n<strong>at</strong>ivity scene th<strong>at</strong> Ciadoncha has had is one th<strong>at</strong> was<br />

made with houses and figurines th<strong>at</strong> the town women learned to make in a special class.<br />

This n<strong>at</strong>ivity scene had a river with real w<strong>at</strong>er th<strong>at</strong> ran through it and such marvelous<br />

details th<strong>at</strong> it became the tourist <strong>at</strong>traction for th<strong>at</strong> year. Many people came from<br />

neighboring towns and from the outside to see it. It was a large s<strong>at</strong>isfaction for the town<br />

women to be able to exhibit their work in this sway (Video provided by Orencio Pérez<br />
