2.409 Engine RPM Indicator<br />

The engine RPM indicator shows the current speed of both<br />

engines as a percentage of maximum RPM. The green lights<br />

under the indicator illuminate when the afterburner engages.<br />

2.410 Fuel Quantity Indicator<br />

The fuel quantity indicator shows the amount of fuel remaining<br />

onboard, from 0 to 9 tons. The tape in the middle shows the total<br />

fuel quantity.<br />

2.411 EGT Indicators<br />

The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) indicators show the<br />

exhaust temperature from 200° C to 1,000° C.<br />

2.412 HDD<br />

The <strong>Heads</strong>-Down <strong>Display</strong> (HDD) TV monitor fills the upper right<br />

corner of the instrument panel. The HDD displays the<br />

programmed flight path and steer points, the location of<br />

runways, and the location of targets detected by the radar. See<br />

the “Sensors” chapter for details on HDD usage.<br />

2.413 Radar Homing And Warning<br />

(RHAW) <strong>Display</strong> Panel<br />

The Radar Homing And Warning (RHAW) panel<br />

indicates the direction and source of detected<br />

radar emitters. The Aircraft symbol represents your<br />

position; the lights around it indicate the bearing to<br />

the emitter. The six lights along the bottom indicate<br />

the radar type. See the "Radar Warning Receivers"<br />

Chapter for additional details.<br />
