The clock shows the current time of day.<br />

2.510 Radar Altimeter<br />

The radar altimeter shows the aircraft’s current Altitude above<br />

Ground Level (AGL), from 0 to 1,000 meters. It does not<br />

indicate altitude when above 1,000 meters.<br />

2.511 Engine RPM Indicator<br />

The engine RPM indicator shows the current speed of both<br />

engines as a percentage of maximum RPM. Green afterburner<br />

indicators at the far right of the instrument panel indicate when<br />

afterburners are engaged.<br />

2.512 Fuel Quantity Indicator<br />

The fuel quantity indicator shows the amount of fuel remaining<br />

on board, from 0 to 5.5 tons. The tape in the middle shows the<br />

total fuel quantity. The four triangular indicators show the<br />

amount of fuel in the centerline (CL), wing (WING), tank 1, and<br />

tank 3. The four lights illuminate as the respective tanks are<br />

emptied.<br />

2.513 EGT Indicators<br />

The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) indicators show<br />

the exhaust temperature from 200° C to 1,000° C.<br />

2.514 HDD<br />

The <strong>Heads</strong>-Down <strong>Display</strong> (HDD) TV monitor fills the upper right<br />

corner of the instrument panel. The HDD displays the<br />

programmed flight path and steer points, the location of<br />

runways, and the location of targets detected by the radar. See<br />

the “Sensors” chapter for details on HDD usage.
