Note: Belt tension must by no means
be tightened to a point where the rubber
bearing of the motor is not shifted
and that the toothed belt does not come
off the synchroflex wheel of the motor.
The tension of the toothed belt for th
magnetic sound unit is also adjusted with
belt tightener. Make sure this belt also is ac
justed to
the proper tension.
V-Belt
Adjustment
The mounted V-belt should have a littl
play. Adjustments have to be made by shif
ing the tapered disc on the idling gear bea
ing. First remove the V-belt and the tapere
disc of the idling gear bearing. If the tei
sion is too low, remove the washers betwee
the two tapered discs so that the V-belt
further tightened. On the other hand, if th
tension is too high, put more washers b<
tween the two tapered discs. Such adjus
ments should always be made at all thn
supporting points of the outer tapered dis
When adjusting the position of the idlir
gear bearing, make sure that the prop<
tension is restored on the toothed belt
