Posi-Trol positive control sprockets that
minimize chances of film damage by restricting
side-to-side movement of 35mm
film in a camera or projector has been announced
by Worth Baird, LaVezzi sales
manager.
Compared to standard 35mm sprockets,
with teeth measuring 0.040 in. or 0.055 in.
wide. Posi-Trol sprockets, Baird explained,
have a row of teeth 0.106 in. wide
'hat interface with the 0.110 in. wide film
perforations. This reduces the maximum
lateral slippage to 0.004 in. The second
row of teeth are 0.065 in. wide and compensate
for any variation in the width of
