Fun, the area's entertainment weekly, attracted 2,230 entries for its Academy Awards contest but the best any entrant could do was to list correctly five winners of the seven categories. Fun's latest edition has a "Decoding the Photos" contest in conjunction with the area showing of "The Eagle Has Landed," offering 25 pairs of passes as prizes. Fun's coloring contest for "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" lured entries with 30 pairs of passes as rewards. Lou Kahn, Warner Bros, exchange manager, was interviewed at Fun's tenth anniversary Academy Awards party by KOMO- TV, ABC's local affiliated station, Kahn discussing the importance of "All the President's Men" doing well in the awards. Many other Filmrow personalities at the party were seen on a segment of KOMO-TV's late news following the Academy Awards telecast and again on the next day's mid-morning news. Fun ran a photo of KOMO-TV's Milt Furness chatting with Kahn, as well as a photo showing some of the industry guests at the Fun party. Driver Crashes Windows At Seattle Sunn Office SEATTLE — Sunn Classic Pictures' branch office here was the scene of an unusual accident early Saturday morning, March 26, when a woman driving a Pacer stepped on the gas, rather than on the brake, in the exchange's parking lot and took out two windows, an outside wall and inside partition before stopping just in front of branch manager Rich Richardson's desk. Theresa Lanphere, secretary and first staffer to reach the scene, summoned Richardson. PORTLAND J^n invitational screening of "Black Sunday" was held March 30 at Mann Theatres' Music Box Theatres, with the wide range of prizes including a stay at a beach resort and rides in the Goodyear Blimp, according to Dewayne Belislye, Music Box manager. Free ice cream "black sundaes" were given to everyone attending the invitational showing: distributed in the drawings, in addition to a trip to the Inn at Spanish Head in Lincoln City and four rides on the Goodyear Blimp, were gift certificates from Clark Junior (women's clothing stores) and miniature balloons. Promotional work was supervised by Mike Neely's Thunder Media, the company which turned in such an out standing promotional job here in conjunc tion with KPAM Radio for "King Kong.'
