chose VINCI Park to handle upgrading and<br />

operation over 18 years of the 1,450 parking<br />

spaces at the Cité des Sciences et de l’industrie<br />

science park.<br />

In Strasbourg, VINCI Park won a new 32-year<br />

concession contract for the Hautepierre hospital.<br />

Apart from operation, management<br />

and maintenance, the contract also provides<br />

for design, finance and construction of the<br />

800-space car park. The works will be<br />

awarded to VINCI Construction France.<br />

International<br />

Brazil. VINCI Park took positions in Latin<br />

America’s largest parking market when it<br />

acquired a 50% stake in Moving, which<br />

manages over 30,000 parking spaces and is<br />

one of the sector’s leading operators in the<br />

south of Brazil. Several major contracts<br />

have been won since then for shopping<br />

centres and hospitals, with VINCI Park<br />

making successful inroads in the states of<br />

Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.<br />

United States. <strong>2013</strong> saw record organic<br />

growth – 185 new contracts for 215 new<br />

sites – for LAZ, VINCI Park’s US subsidiary,<br />

which expanded in a wide variety of segments<br />

(retail, hotels, hospitals, events,<br />

municipal car parks).<br />

Belgium. In Nieuport, VINCI Park will be<br />

handling operation of two public car parks<br />

with a total of 700 spaces, together with<br />

3,573 on-street parking spaces within the<br />

framework of a consortium and on behalf<br />

of a property developer.<br />

United Kingdom. VINCI Park strengthened<br />

its positions in the UK. The subsidiary won<br />

an extension, until September 2015, of the<br />

London Midland Rail contract (7,830<br />

on-street spaces and 28 car parks) and also<br />

obtained a contract in Milton Keynes for car<br />

parks and on-street spaces.<br />

Spain. In a consortium with other operators,<br />

VINCI Park won two out of four<br />

on-street parking contracts for the city of<br />

Madrid. The 12-year contract provides for<br />

the management of 85,000 parking spaces,<br />

together with the financing, installation<br />

and maintenance of 2,200 parking metres<br />

and collection of the revenue from them.<br />

In May <strong>2013</strong>, VINCI Park increased its<br />

stake in Epsa to 100% by acquiring the ACS<br />

Group’s 50% holding. Epsa, a company based<br />

in Zaragoza, manages four car parks under<br />

concession (1,695 spaces) with an average<br />

residual term of 31 years. The acquisition<br />

bolsters VINCI Park’s positions in Zaragoza,<br />

where the company already operated four<br />

car parks and on-street parking.<br />

Rail infrastructure<br />

The year was dominated by intense activity<br />

on the SEA Tours-Bordeaux high-speed line,<br />

the biggest infrastructure concession<br />

project currently under way in Europe.<br />
