a 30-year contract, Rhônexpress is a 23 km<br />
light-rail system that connects Lyon’s Part<br />
Dieu railway station and the city’s Saint<br />
Exupéry airport in just under 30 minutes.<br />
In its third year of operation, it posted an 8%<br />
increase in user rates, which rose to<br />
1.2 million customers. The results of surveys<br />
conducted with users confirmed the utility<br />
and reliability of the line, with an overall satisfaction<br />
rate of 95%. New services were<br />
launched in <strong>2013</strong>, allowing users to receive<br />
traffic alerts by SMS and reserve a taxi with<br />
the help of the on-board agent.<br />
Belgium<br />
Liefkenshoek link. After five years of works,<br />
the programme management teams of<br />
VINCI Concessions and its partners, with the<br />
support of CFE, VINCI Construction Grands<br />
Projets (VINCI Construction subsidiaries)<br />
and other players for the design and construction<br />
phases, delivered on schedule this<br />
new 16 km rail link designed to facilitate<br />
access to the port of Antwerp. The project<br />
involved 7 km of civil engineering structures<br />
plus an aqueduct and a 6 km twin-tube<br />
tunnel bored under the Escaut River.<br />
Operation and maintenance of the civil<br />
engineering structures and associated<br />
systems will be handled until 2050 by<br />
Locarail, in which the Group has a 28%<br />
stake, on behalf of Infrabel.<br />

Stadiums and arenas –<br />
VINCI Stadium<br />
As the head of a network of five stadiums<br />
and arenas in France in which VINCI<br />
Concessions is the major shareholder, VINCI<br />
Stadium brings its expertise to a new operating<br />
model for sports and concert venues.<br />
The aim is to offer spectators multi-sports<br />
programming, a wide variety of concerts<br />
and shows, and a full range of associated<br />
services to diversify the business of these<br />
venues.<br />
Projects under development<br />
New Bordeaux stadium. Alain Juppé, mayor<br />
of Bordeaux, laid the foundation stone for the<br />
new Bordeaux stadium on 15 April <strong>2013</strong>,<br />
marking the start of construction works<br />
carried out in a consortium by VINCI<br />
Construction France and Fayat. This<br />
multi-purpose stadium designed by international<br />
architects Herzog & de Meuron will<br />
have a seating capacity of 42,000, and 45,000<br />
in concert configuration. It will host the<br />
matches of its resident club, the Bordeaux<br />
Girondins, and those of the Uefa Euro 2016<br />
championship, together with multi-sports<br />
programming and cultural events. Major<br />
resources are devoted to the project given<br />
that delivery is scheduled for the spring of<br />
