Student Learning Outcomes:<br />
Upon completion of the Arts and Humanities emphasis, students will be able to:<br />
• Identify, describe, and analyze significant works, people, ideas, and events in their cultural contexts<br />
• Effectively communicate an understanding of culture as expressed in arts and letters in global and comparative<br />
perspectives<br />
• Critically analyze individual belief systems by comparing diverse perspectives and considering cultural and<br />
historical complexities<br />
Social and Behavioral Sciences Area of Emphasis<br />
This area of emphasis is designed to give students a broad foundation in the related fields of the social and behavioral<br />
sciences, and prepare students to think critically, analyze evidence effectively, and understand the different approaches<br />
of the various disciplines that examine people as members of society and how societies and social groups operate.<br />
