Intersegmental GENERAL EDUCATION<br />
Transfer CURRICULUM (IGETC)<br />
Completion of all the requirements in the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) will permit<br />
a student to transfer from a community college to a campus in either the California State University (CSU) or the<br />
University of California (UC) system without the need, after transfer, to take additional lower-division, general<br />
education courses to satisfy campus general education requirements.<br />
All courses must be completed with grades of “C” or better.<br />

AREA 1: English communication 6-9 UNITS<br />
CSU: Three courses required, one from each group below<br />
UC: Two courses required, one from Group A and one from Group B below<br />
