SECTION 00 73 00 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION A201-1997 PART 1 – STANDARD GENERAL CONDITIONS A. The “General Conditions of the Contract for Construction” of the American Institute of Architects, AIA Document No. A201-1997, inclusive, is a part of this Contract, it is incorporated herein. B. Additional copies of the “General Conditions” may be purchased from the Florida Association, The American Institute of Architects, Document Department, P. O. Box 10388, Tallahassee, Florida, 32302. C. The Contractor is hereby specifically directed, as a condition of the Contract, to acquaint himself with the Articles contained therein and to notify and appraise all Subcontractors, Suppliers and any other parties of the Contract or individuals or agencies engaged in the work as to its contents. D. No contractual adjustments shall be due or become exigent as a result of, or failure on the part of the Contractor to fully acquaint himself and all other parties to the contract with the conditions of Document A201. PART 2 – SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS The following supplements modify, change, delete from or add to the "General Conditions of the Contract for Construction", AIA Document A201, Fifteenth Edition 1997. Where a portion of the General Conditions is modified or deleted by these Supplementary Conditions, the unaltered portions of the General Conditions shall remain in effect. Where any Article of the General Conditions is modified or any Paragraph, Subparagraph or Clause thereof is modified or deleted by these supplements, the unaltered provisions of that Article, Paragraph, Subparagraph or clause shall remain in effect. ARTICLE 1; GENERAL PROVISIONS 1.2 CORRELATION AND INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Add the following Subparagraph 1.2.1.1 to 1.2: 1.2.1.1 In the event of conflicts or discrepancies among the Contract Documents, interpretations will be based on the following priorities: 1. The Agreement. 2. Addenda, with those of later date having precedence over those of earlier date. 3. The Supplementary Conditions. 4. The General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. 5. Drawings and Specifications. In the case of an inconsistency between Drawings and Specifications or within either Document not clarified by addendum, the better quality or greater quantity of Work shall be provided in accordance with the Architect’s interpretation.
