Editor’s Note Dear Reader, F E A T U R I N G T H E B E S T O F G E R M A N M E D I C I N E كلمة املحرر اأعزائي القراء For the third time, the German Medical Journal is present at the Arab Health and has been through a rapid development in these 3 years. The German Medical Journal was introduced at the Arab Health 07 as print edition in Arabian-English. One year later, we presented the German Medical Online Portal at the Arab Health 08 and thus pointed the way ahead online. The logical next step was the conversion of the German Medical Journal from the print edition to the digital edition. The eBook: Complete and just like printed With the conversion of the print edition to the digital edition, the GMJ is not only in line with the current trend but, due to the Flash eBook, also takes the current stateof-the-art online technological lead. Flash eBook means that you have the complete journal on your display and are able to leaf through it just like in a magazine. The advantages are obvious: Quick availability, great degree of distribution and crossmedia linking. And our readers appreciate our efforts: since the end of October 08, every minute 1.3 readers worldwide have accessed the eBook or downloaded the PDF version. The front runner in technological advancement for our readers At the Arab Health 09, the current German Medical Journal will be issued as CD edition as well. Whether on CD as eBook or as PDF version on the internet: German Medical Journal provides the interested reader with additional detailed information by cross-linking with the German Medical Online Portal. Cross-linking is possible either via the Info-Click Button or via the latest cell-phone technology, namely the QRcode - the direct information on your cell phone.
