Die Kunsthalle Krems unterstreicht ihren herausragenden Platz im österreichischen Kunstgeschehen
zum 20-jährigen Bestehen mit einer großen Pipilotti-Rist-Personale. Die Ausstellung
vom 22.3. bis 28.6. umfasst Arbeiten aus rund 30 Jahren inklusive eines Auftritts der bekannten Schweizer Video- und Objektkünstlerin beim Donaufestival.
The Kunsthalle Krems, on the occasion of its 20-year anniversary, highlights its prominent presence in the Austrian art scene with a comprehensive Pipilotti Rist solo
exhibition. It runs from 22nd March to 28th June and encompasses works from 30 years of her career, including an appearance by the famous video and object artist at the
Donaufestival.

In High Fashion
Edward Steichen gilt als eine der einflussreichsten Persönlichkeiten
in der Geschichte der Fotografie. Seine Arbeiten für die
Zeitschriften Vogue und Vanity Fair in den Jahren 1923-1937
revolutionierten die Mode- und Porträtfotografie.
Das Fotomuseum WestLicht zeigt unter dem Titel „Edward
Steichen – In High Fashion“ vom 18.2. bis zum 19.4. rund
200 Vintageabzüge aus dem Condé-Nast-Archiv.
Edward Steichen is one of the most influential figures in the
history of photography. His pictures for Vogue and Vanity Fair
between 1923 and 1937 revolutionised fashion and portrait
photography. 200 unique vintage prints from the Condé Nast
Archive are displayed for the first time under the title “Edward
Steichen – In High Fashion” in Austria at WestLicht Museum for
Photography from 18th February to 19th April.

The Albertina will make it
possible for visitors to cast
their eyes on treasured works
from the Musée d’Orsay in
Paris. Pastels by Edgar Degas,
gouaches by Honoré Daumier
and watercolours by Paul
Cézanne, along with 130
gems of graphic art, can be
admired in the exhibition
“The Dream Archive from the
Musée d’Orsay” until 03.05.

Die Bilder des österreichischen Fotografen
Erich Lessing gingen um die Welt. Für die
Ausstellung „Lessing zeigt Lessing“ vom 29.4.
bis 8.9. im Jüdischen Museum hat Hannah
Lessing eine sehr persönliche Auswahl von
Fotografien ihres Vaters zusammengestellt.
Neben den berühmten Fotoreportagen
sind idyllische israelische Landschaften
und zeithistorische Rückblicke auf das
Lebensgefühl der österreichischen und
europäischen Nachkriegszeit zu sehen.
The pictures by the Austrian
photographer Erich Lessing are
world-famous. Hannah Lessing has
made a highly personal selection of
her father’s photos for the exhibition
“Lessing on Lessing” at Museum
Judenplatz from 29.04. - 08.09.
Besides the renowned photo reports,
idyllic Israeli landscapes and a
historical retrospective of life in
post-war Austria and Europe are on
show.
