Program Educational Outcomes<br />

Upon completion of the Associate in Applied Science in Automotive Technology<br />

- Parts & Service Management Program, the graduate is prepared<br />

to:<br />

1. Perform all NATEF (P-1) tasks to diagnose <strong>and</strong> repair systems<br />

associated with automotive chassis components.<br />

2. Locate <strong>and</strong> identify all assemblies <strong>and</strong> components associated<br />

with automotive engine, power transmission, <strong>and</strong> electrical/elec tronic<br />

controls of all accessory <strong>and</strong> ergonomics systems.<br />

3. Communicate clearly using written, verbal, <strong>and</strong> electronic means.<br />

4. Apply safety st<strong>and</strong>ards related to the Automotive Industry.<br />

5. Utilize management <strong>and</strong> supervisory skills needed while work ing in<br />

the business environment.<br />

6. Utilize technology to analyze business problems <strong>and</strong> construct appropriate<br />

solutions.<br />

7. Diagnose marketing <strong>and</strong> management related issues <strong>and</strong> plan<br />

future actions.<br />

8. Utilize appropriate technology <strong>and</strong> critical thinking skills to assess,<br />

evaluate, <strong>and</strong> apply information.<br />
