Admissions<br />

• A <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Col lege<br />
Health <strong>and</strong> Immunization Form, documenting<br />
emergency information <strong>and</strong> two doses<br />
of measles, mumps, <strong>and</strong> rubella immunizations<br />
for any students born after 1956, plus<br />
a tetanus immu nization within 10 years for<br />
all students. Students accepted into allied<br />
health programs will be required to provide<br />
additional health data. <strong>Maine</strong> State law requires<br />
<strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College<br />
to collect this immunization information.<br />
• If applicable, students with a documented<br />
disability must register with the Disabilities<br />
Coordinator on campus in order to discuss<br />
needed accommodations.<br />
• A Residence Hall application, for those<br />
students who wish to live on campus, along<br />
with a residence hall <strong>and</strong> meal plan deposit<br />
that will be credited toward the first semester<br />
bill. Space is assigned on a first deposit,<br />
fi rst assigned basis, with preference given<br />
to fi rst year, full-time students. The deposit<br />
may be submitted online at www.cmcc.<br />

After Acceptance<br />
to the College<br />
New students will be signed up for a Registration<br />
Day to learn important policies, select<br />
courses, <strong>and</strong> get their college photo ID. Registration<br />
Day info is mailed to new students after<br />
they submit the $75.00 tuition deposit. Students<br />
are expected to be at the college for their assigned<br />
Registration Day.<br />
Financial Aid award packages will be processed<br />
<strong>and</strong> communicated to students by the <strong>Central</strong><br />
<strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College Financial Aid Office<br />
upon a student’s accept ance to the college.<br />
Processing can take 4 -6 weeks from the time<br />
the student has been accepted. For students<br />
beginning in the fall semester, awards will be<br />
processed begin ning in the late spring. For students<br />
begin ning in the spring semester, awards<br />
will be processed beginning in the fall.<br />
For high school seniors, an official final transcript<br />
must be submitted to the Admis sions Office<br />
upon high school graduation. The Registrar’s<br />
Offi ce will process tran scripts from other colleges/universities<br />
for transfer credit to <strong>Central</strong><br />
<strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College upon a student’s<br />
acceptance <strong>and</strong> communicate results directly to<br />
students.<br />
Tech Prep Courses <strong>and</strong><br />
Program Prerequisites<br />
Applied Math I <strong>and</strong> II courses, designed by the<br />
Center for Occupational Research <strong>and</strong> Development<br />
(C.O.R.D.) may substitute for the Algebra<br />
I prerequisite. The C.O.R.D. Principles of<br />
Technology (units 1 to 14) may substitute for the<br />
General Physics pre requisites.<br />
Tech Prep <strong>and</strong> Advanced St<strong>and</strong>ing<br />
<strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College has for mal,<br />
written agreements with a growing list of <strong>Maine</strong><br />
high schools to award credit for course work,<br />
which has been reviewed <strong>and</strong> approved by both<br />
high school <strong>and</strong> College faculty representatives.<br />
Students who qualify for this opportunity must<br />
be admitted to a <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College<br />
catalog program <strong>and</strong> registered for courses<br />
before the Tech Prep transfer credit is posted<br />
on their transcripts. As this catalog goes to<br />
press, <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College has<br />
advanced credit agreements with the following<br />
48 secondary schools <strong>and</strong> adult education<br />
centers.<br />
Each agreement has specific conditions in<br />
terms of required competencies, credit hours<br />
<strong>and</strong> effective dates. Interested stu dents should<br />
contact the <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College<br />
Admissions Office <strong>and</strong>/or their high school guidance<br />
coun selors for complete details.<br />
