Program Description<br />
The certifi cate program in Construction Safety <strong>and</strong> Health will prepare<br />
graduates for employment in the construction safety <strong>and</strong> health field.<br />
These graduates will work independently or as part of a team to make<br />
the construction workplace safer <strong>and</strong> healthier by identifying workplace<br />
hazards <strong>and</strong> possible ways to address these hazards through engineering<br />
solutions, administrative work practices, <strong>and</strong> the training <strong>and</strong> education of<br />
workers in safe <strong>and</strong> healthy work practices.<br />
Career Opportunities<br />
Employment opportunities are also found in areas such as insurance companies,<br />
government agencies, as well as with consulting firms.<br />
