Highways and Large Through Corridors: Thoroughfare and collector streetsmay penetrate a TND, if so, the adjoining streets must be designed toaccommodate these intersections by minimizing the direct access onto thecollector and thoroughfare streets.SECTION 3POLICIES.The <strong>Town</strong>, consistent with current policies, will not install or maintain street trees,median plantings, specialty pavement, park benches, bike paths, walking trials orsimilar features within the right-<strong>of</strong>-way. Installation and construction <strong>of</strong> suchfeatures is the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the developer. Maintenance <strong>of</strong> such right-<strong>of</strong>-wayfeatures will be the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the property owners’ association or groupthat has responsibility for other common assets.Vertical curb and gutter construction is preferred on all streets where individualparcel accesses are prohibited. On low volume streets where access is providedfor individual parcels, valley curb & gutter is preferred.<strong>Design</strong> guidelines established for TNDs will remain separate and apart from thestandards for conventional subdivisions. TND and conventional developmentconcepts shall not be combined within the same development.Refer to the attached drawings for roadway cross sections.
