F. Street <strong>Construction</strong>necessary corrections to prior work will be made at that timeand the project can proceed to the next phase.3. Following the completion <strong>of</strong> all work items, the developerand/or their engineer will inspect the project for compliancewith the construction drawings. At this point, shoulders shallbe graded to typical section, all utility adjustments shall bemade, and all underground lines shall be free <strong>of</strong> silt debris.4. After the developer and/or their engineer have inspected thedevelopment and verified that any needed corrections havebeen made, the Public Works Department shall be contactedto schedule a final inspection. If the project is not accepted,the Public Works Department will provide the developer ortheir representative with a checklist <strong>of</strong> corrections (punchlist).5. Once a final inspection has been conducted, the developerwill be required to sign a one (1) year warranty on allroadway and storm drainage improvements.1. Grading - All organic material must be removed aminimum <strong>of</strong> three (3)-feet below the stone base course.Clearing debris and top soil shall not be used as roadbed fillmaterial. Unsuitable soils such as, alluvial materials, andold fill material such as stumps; trees, topsoil, trash, etc.shall not be used as structural fill regardless <strong>of</strong> depth belowfinished grade. Base material shall not be placed on aroadway until the storm sewer, subgrade, utilities, and allappurtenances have been inspected, approved and meet<strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kernersville</strong> and NCDOT Standard <strong>Specifications</strong>.Fill material shall be compacted to 95% <strong>of</strong> standard proctor.The last two (2) feet <strong>of</strong> material must be compacted to 98%<strong>of</strong> standard proctor. The Inspector may require thedeveloper/owner to provide field density testing <strong>of</strong> thesubgrade soils from a certified testing laboratory. The soilslaboratory shall perform sufficient proctors to evaluate thecompaction characteristics <strong>of</strong> various soils used in theroadbed.
