3. Limitationsa. The Inspector may not approve or disapprove anychanges in the scope of work or issue any fieldorders.b. The Inspector may not specify the contractor’s meansand methods of construction; however, he/she maymake recommendations. If the Contractor’s meansand methods are producing work that does not meetthe standards of this Manual, the Inspector will notifythe contractor that he/she must change to conform tothese requirements.c. The Inspector is not responsible for the safetyprograms instituted by the contractor or required bythe Occupational Safety and Health Act.d. The Inspector is not responsible for the enforcementof the Sedimentation Control Act; however, he/shemay inform the contractor when in violation. Ifcontractor does not remedy the violation, theInspector will inform the Construction ServicesManager.MATERIALS:All materials most meet the requirements of theNCDOT Standard Specifications for Roads andBridges.
