Papers cover the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) process, in which a non-hydrocarbon reductant known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is
injected to create ammonia which reacts with NOX and converts it into harmless Nitrogen. The topic includes various aspects of SCR technology
such as different washcoats, two-way (SCR washcoat on DPF substrate), aging and poisoning impact on catalyst performance, importance of DEF
injection and mixing and SCR modeling.
